The Education & Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) is a Saudi Arabian organization established to evaluate, assess, and accredit educational and training systems. It is meant to support and promote the quality and adequacy of education and training, and to strengthen the role of education and training in the national economy. It ensures the evaluation of public and private education in the Kingdom, builds-norms for public education curricula in coordination with the Ministry of Education, and approves and updates them periodically.
The university signs several academic accreditation projects with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission
They signed contracts of implementation projects for evaluation study at the program level for five academic specialization programs in the field of Health at the University of Maareefa.
These programs are the following:
- Bachelor’s degree program in Human Medicine
- Bachelor’s degree program in Pharmacy
- Bachelor’s degree program in Nursing
- Bachelor’s degree program in Respiratory Care
- Bachelor’s degree program in Emergency Medical Services
The contract period is for a complete year, during which an evaluation study is prepared for the specified programs above, to verify their readiness through visits by independent auditors from within the university and from outside of it. This is in preparation for issuing a decision for accreditation academic programs from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment. The university seeks to achieve its vision of advancing its educational services, preparing qualified personnel, and stimulating outstanding scientific and research to participate in building Al Maareefa society.
It worth mentioning that this contract comes out of the existing cooperation between the University of Al Maareefa and the Education and Training Evaluation Commission represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment. It is a continuation of quality projects and academic accreditation at the university after obtaining institutional accreditation, and in keeping with national transformations to contribute to achieving the ambitious 2030 vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
