5.3.1 Does your university as a body systematically measure/track women’s application rate, acceptance/entry rate and study completion rate at the university?

Al Maarefa University systematically tracks key metrics related to women’s participation in education, including application rates, acceptance and entry rates, and study completion rates. This data is collected and analyzed to ensure that women are supported throughout their academic journey. The university focuses on identifying areas where women may face challenges, particularly in underrepresented fields, and implements targeted policies and programs to support their success. These efforts are aligned with Al Maarefa’s broader commitment to gender equality and its efforts to foster an inclusive academic environment.

By monitoring these metrics, Al Maarefa University aims to create a supportive environment that encourages equal opportunities and enhances the likelihood of female students completing their studies successfully. These practices reflect the university’s alignment with global standards on gender equality, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 5).
