Agreement with ENAS
UM has signed an agreement with ENAS (Entrepreneurship national association in Saudi Arabia) “The Entrepreneurship Association is a scientific association concerned with disseminating the culture of entrepreneurship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and it is the fruit of an initiative launched by a group of specialists at King Saud University to be the “scientific reference association” in various fields of entrepreneurship, and the professional and research environment in support of the efforts of universities and institutions and a tool that works for the benefit of society And promoting entrepreneurship activities and practices and a culture of creativity, innovation and excellence at various local and international levels”.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Camp Concludes
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Camp for Al-Maarefa University students concluded yesterday its activities held at the university building for four days, which was organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, where the camp included many lectures and workshops to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among university students in order to train them on the basics and concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship and identify their most important sources through theoretical and practical training workshops. This camp aims to support the future directions of the senior management of Al-Maarefa University, and its vision for the coming years. Innovation at the university throughout its four days to attract trainers with national and international skills and experience.
The supervisor of the center, Prof. Dr. Hamdan bin Ibrahim Al-Mohammed, stated that the establishment of this camp and other events at the university reflects our commitment to encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship and providing high-level programs in order to graduate qualified competencies with knowledge and science capable of employing their skills and capabilities in promoting scientific excellence and developing innovative projects that support the aspirations and ambitions of Al-Maarefa University and to unleash students’ creative energies and intellectual abilities and translate them into innovative projects. The center will continue to provide distinguished lectures, seminars and educational workshops To encourage innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. He added that the main driver of this movement and what was achieved after the grace of God is due to the great support and special care of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Walid bin Hussein Abu Al-Faraj. Then the great passion and enthusiasm flowing in these students.

In pursuit of the university’s qualitative education that is compatible with its aspirations for the future, His Excellency the President of the University met on Sunday 2-7-1442 corresponding to 14-2-2021, in the presence of His Excellency the Vice President and university leaders, with the head and delegation of the global company Lamarka, which specializes in designing innovation and entrepreneurship programs, where they discussed aspects of joint cooperation and programs that the global company can provide in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship as academic packages that enhance the value of the university’s outputs.
Entrepreneurship within the courses of Al-Maarefa University
Entrepreneurship is one of the modern and advanced development concepts that help develop and encourage entrepreneurial ideas and creative projects.
Therefore, AlMaarefa University decided to include the entrepreneurship course within its academic programs, and to start the project of developing the entrepreneurship technology course for students of the College of Applied Sciences, which aims to enhance the entrepreneurial side of students, crystallize the understanding of the pioneering role in setting goals in establishing new projects, and provide students with planning and organization skills within the work of one team, in a way that ensures the provision of the appropriate study environment and scientific climate to obtain high-quality learning in line with the university’s mission.
From this standpoint, the university administration sought to add entrepreneurship among the general subjects for students of the College of Applied Sciences, provided that it is considered an alternative optional subject for any of the Salam and Arab courses.
In the interest of Al-Maarefa University to support its students and raise their scientific level in this context, it was decided that the university will bear the fees for attending the entrepreneurship course and the International Entrepreneurship License test, the details of which will be announced later for the best five students.

Sheikh Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Othman Award for Outstanding Students
Al-Maarefa University hosted for the sixth time the ceremony of “Sheikh Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Othman Award for Outstanding Students” in its eighth session for male and female students of public education under the patronage and presence of the Governor of Diriyah, His Highness Prince Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, on Monday, 01/04/2019, and in the presence of the Director General of Education in Riyadh, and senior officials in various government departments in the governorate.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Mulhim, His Excellency the Vice President for Admission, Registration and Student Affairs, and His Excellency the Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
This year, three of our outstanding students and two of our outstanding students were honored, in addition to honoring outstanding students of general education, in addition to honoring teachers and four teachers in the governorate.
This noble occasion comes within the interests of Al-Maarefa University in participating and expanding the area of community service, because of its effective return and strong motivation to move forward towards achieving ways of excellence and scientific excellence that caused honest competition between teachers and students of public and private schools in Diriyah Governorate, and this noble initiative with its annual ceremony brings great benefits to students and teachers.
The Knowledge welcomes the honor of His Highness the Governor of Diriyah, senior officials and families of outstanding students in the governorate and their visit to the university, and extends its sincere thanks to His Excellency Sheikh Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Othman for his good initiative in supporting the ways of scientific progress through his generous award.
Alumni Unit
Strengthening the relationship between the university and its graduates enhances the affiliation and loyalty of graduates to the university, and contributes to the development of the university and the achievement of its future goals. This is achieved by building bridges of cooperation between the university and the various training and employment bodies with the aim of developing the skills of graduates in all disciplines and raising their competencies, as well as the contribution of graduates and training and employment bodies in developing study plans and academic programs at the university in line with the requirements and developments of the labor market.
The Alumni Unit follows up on the affairs of graduates to identify their employers and the nature of their jobs, and to identify the extent to which their specializations are compatible with the needs of the labor market. It also receives their suggestions about the programs they have studied and coordination with the concerned departments and the Quality Center within the university. One of the tasks of the unit is also to provide them with information services from training and employment opportunities available in the private and public sectors, and help them obtain appropriate jobs that are compatible with their specializations and the requirements of the labor market, and introduce the public and private sectors to the competencies of university graduates in various disciplines every year.

· Support the contributions of the University Alumni Association.
· Holding programs, seminars and workshops to support the employment of graduates and qualify them for the labor market, such as Career Day.
· Inviting graduates to participate in the university’s events, celebrations and various programs.
· Preparing opinion polls for graduates and employees.
· Preparing mechanisms for communicating with graduates and employers and strengthening the relationship with them.
· Assisting graduates in searching for jobs in the private sector according to their specializations.
· Informing graduates of developments within the university in the academic and research aspects.
· Receiving the proposals of graduates and employers, analyzing them, preparing periodic reports on them, and submitting them to the Quality Center for Development and Raising the efficiency of performance.
