His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Walid bin Hussein Abu Al-Faraj, and His Excellency the President of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, Dr. Hussam bin Abdul Wahab Zaman, signed today (Sunday), July 5, 2020, at the Commission’s headquarters in Riyadh, contracts for the implementation of evaluation study projects at the programmatic level for five academic programs in health specialties at Al-Maarefa University, namely:
- Bachelor of Medicine
- Bachelor of Doctor of Pharmacy
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Bachelor of Respiratory Care
- Bachelor of Emergency Medical Services
This contract extends for a full year, interspersed with the preparation of an evaluation study of the specific programs, to verify their readiness through visits to independent reviewers from home and abroad, in preparation for the issuance of the programmatic academic accreditation decision from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, which the university seeks to achieve its vision in advancing its educational services, preparing qualified competencies, and stimulating scientific and research excellence to participate in building a knowledge society.
It is worth mentioning that this contract comes from the existing cooperation between AlMaarefa University and the Education and Training Evaluation Commission represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, and to complement the quality and academic accreditation projects at the university after obtaining institutional accreditation, and to keep pace with the national transformations to contribute to achieving the ambitious vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.
