The University Signs a Research Cooperation Agreement with Taif University


With the aim of strengthening scientific research ties with Saudi universities, His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Walid bin Hussein Abu Al-Faraj, signed a research cooperation agreement with Taif University, represented by its President, Prof. Yousef bin Abdo Asiri. The terms of the agreement between the two parties stipulated joint cooperation that achieves the vision of the two universities in the field of enhancing scientific exchanges, advisory services, and specialized research.

In a brief statement after the signing ceremony, His Excellency the President of the University stated that the agreement includes several joint research projects, and an exchange of research and studies results between the two universities, and His Excellency hinted that the agreement will be followed – God willing – by joint coordination steps in many research projects that enhance the research skills capabilities of faculty members and students in the two universities.

For his part, His Excellency the Vice President of the University, Dr. Nasser bin Ali Al-Jarallah, stated that the university is keen to select distinguished academic institutions in its scientific partnerships, as Taif University is currently ranked third among all Saudi universities in terms of research production in ISI databases. It is worth mentioning that the signing ceremony witnessed the presence of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Swat, Vice Dean of Taif University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, His Excellency Dr. Walaa Al-Sayegh, Dean of Scientific Research at Taif University, His Excellency the Advisor to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Ibtisam Al-Madi, His Excellency the Advisor to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Hamdan Al-Muhammad, His Excellency the Dean of Admission and Registration, Prof. Muhammad Al-Zamil, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Muhammad Abdul-Jabbar, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Muhammad Al-Yamani, and His Excellency the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Mazen Al-Qahtani.
