Al Diriyah Club, founded in 1976, is a key part of the local sporting landscape, and UM actively works with them to ensure the local population benefits from the facilities and programs available
The sports facilities at UM, such as its gymnasiums and outdoor sports areas, are accessible to members of the public, promoting health and wellness in the community. These facilities are typically offered on a charged access basis, supporting both local schools and the general public in participating in organized events, fitness programs, and recreational activities.
In addition to the facilities, UM organizes various events and exhibitions that are open to the public, including cultural and educational programs that complement the sporting activities. This helps introduce the local community to university life, fostering a deeper connection between UM and its surroundings

· In celebration of Saudi National Day and in support of the Saudi Vision 2030 goals to increase the number of sports practitioners to 40% by 2030, Almaarefa University organized the “Diriyah Walks” marathon. This event aims to raise awareness among the local Diriyah community about the importance of walking and its effective role in disease prevention. The marathon saw broad participation from various segments of the community, reflecting the university’s commitment to promoting public health and sports as part of its contribution to national vision objectives. Such initiatives not only encourage physical activity but also foster community spirit and unity.

The conclusion of the First Knowledge Faculties Table Tennis Championship
In an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and vitality, and in the presence of the Vice Dean for Admission, Registration and Student Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Yasser bin Abdul Karim Al-Turki, yesterday witnessed the conclusion of the First Knowledge Colleges for Students Championship for Table Tennis.
Amid the remarkable presence of my students, the student: Hani Qashqash, one of the students of the College of Pharmacy, managed to win the first championship title after beating his colleague Ahmed Al-Rashidi with a score of 3/1.
After that, His Excellency the Vice Dean of the College; Accompanied by the Director of Student Affairs and the Supervisor of Student Affairs Department, he distributed medals and a cup to the first and second place holders, as well as the organizers and referees of the tournament were honoured.

The Saudi Sports for All Federation is the main body responsible for the development of community sports and is mandated with achieving a target of raising physical activity levels in Saudi Arabia to 40% by 2030. The SFA was established in 1439 AH as a regulator of community sports, and in 1440 AH the federation was given the mandate to expand those participating in physical activities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a weekly basis. The Federation aims to achieve this goal through a variety of programs and initiatives that are essential components of a healthy and active community.
